Navaratri or the nine-nights dedicated to the worship of the Primordial Shakti. It signifies the victory of goodness over evil. Goddess Durga, who is worshipped during the Navratri, is a symbol of Shakti which means §Ó??ultimate strength§Ó?? is worshipped in her nine-fold manifestations. The procedure of worship of Goddess as Durga- Lakshmi and Saraswati is based on the Kalpa manuals.
Goddess Saraswati is known as the harbinger of knowledge, arts and music. She symbolises energy in all its forms. Saraswati Puja is celebrated on the ninth day of the Navaratri, called as Mahanavami to acknowledge the value of education and arts. The worship of Goddess Saraswati as per the Kalpa manuals is followed here.
Ayudha Pooja is worship of every implement that we use, whether it is in industry, agriculture or anything else and approaching it respectfully. These instruments when approached reverentially with a deep sense of involvement, yields best results. This puja is performed on the Mahanavami or on Vijayadashami.
Sundarakanda is a summary of the entire Sri Ramayana. Hence those who cannot recite the entire Ramayana can benefit from the recital of Sundarakanda. It describes the exploits of Lord Hanuman in course of his search of Mother Sita. His meeting with Mother Sita, destruction of the Rakshasa hordes and burning of Lanka form the rest part of the Kanda. Each Chapter of Sundarakanda confers specific benefits upon the devotee.
Vishnu Sahasranam forms part of Anushasana parva of Mahabharata wherein Bhishma enumerated the thousand names of Lord Vishnu to Yudhishthira in the divine presence of Lord Krishna himself. This is one of the most powerful hymns recited by all for the benefit of all the desires.
Hanuman Chalisa is a poetic composition of the great saint Goswami Tulsidas. Tulsidas is considered to be an incarnation of Saint Valmiki. It is believed that Tulsidas composed Hanuman Chalisa in a state of Samadhi during the ocssion of kumbh mela in Haridwar. Chalisa means forty and this famous composition has 40 verses in praise of Hanuman. Whoever chants Hanuman Chalisa with devotion shall attain the infinite grace of Lord Hanuman.
Pitru Paksha is dedicated to the dead family members It is a 16-day long period During this period, people perform Shradh rituals, Tarpan and Pind Daan to please their deceased ancestors

Upakarma consists of two rites- Utsarjana and Upakarma, which are related to the ancient practice of learning the Vedas. The main purpose of the Upakarma is to offer prayers and express our gratitude to the Rishi parampara which blessed our lives with the wisdom of the Vedas. The Yajur Upakarma follows the procedure laid down by Sage Apastambha.
